Position Overview
The Director of Financial Operations (FinOps) is a critical leader responsible for managing the hotel's financial systems and operations. This role combines financial expertise with IT proficiency to ensure the seamless operation of cloud-based tools and automated financial processes. Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Financial Operations oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and system management, playing a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence.
This position is integral to the hotel's success, supporting department heads with financial insights, optimizing operations, and managing system access and user rights. The Director of FinOps also collaborates with the EAM to handle administrative system tasks and ensures the efficient use of SaaS tools across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the hotel's financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
- Manage and maintain cloud-based financial systems and SaaS tools, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support department heads in optimizing operations.
- Handle user access, logins, and system rights for all employees, ensuring proper security and compliance.
- Collaborate with the EAM on system-related administrative tasks.
- Identify patterns and trends in financial data to recommend improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Act as the point of contact for IT-related financial tools and systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.
